typInstitute – Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“T&C”) govern your enrolment, participation, and relationship with typInstitute, a personal development organisation specialising in Transpersonal Coaching, Counselling, and Psychotherapy training. By applying to or enrolling in any typInstitute course, workshop, or programme, you agree to these terms.

1. Eligibility & Entry Requirements
1.1 Prospective students must have completed secondary education to the equivalent of GCSE or O Level standards. Proof of education may be requested.
1.2 Applicants must complete all application forms, questionnaires, and interviews as part of the admission process.
1.3 typInstitute reserves the right to refuse admission if it is determined the applicant does not meet eligibility requirements, or the programme is not suitable.

2. Application & Acceptance
2.1 Applicants must submit the online application form along with a deposit of intent (amount specified per course).
2.2 Completion of all required questionnaires and in-depth application forms is mandatory.
2.3 Acceptance is subject to successful review of application forms and completion of interviews with course leaders.
2.4 Students will be notified of acceptance and provided with payment terms and enrolment instructions in writing.

3. Fees & Payment
3.1 Fees must be paid in accordance with the payment schedule agreed at acceptance.
3.2 Students secure their place on a course with an Intentional Deposit.
3.3 typInstitute reserves the right to suspend access to courses if fees are unpaid.
3.4 Additional costs (e.g., textbooks, therapy sessions, supervision sessions) may apply and are the responsibility of the student.

4. Refunds & Cancellations
4.1 The Intentional Deposit is fully refundable if the student is not accepted into the course. Once a student is accepted and the course is booked, the deposit becomes non-refundable, except in cases of extenuating circumstances (e.g., serious illness). A non-refundable Intentional Deposit may be transferred to a future course at the discretion of typInstitute, subject to availability and confirmation.
4.2 Withdrawal from a course after acceptance will be reviewed on an individual basis. As a general rule, participants who withdraw may be required to cover fees equivalent to an additional three modules. Final financial obligations will be determined according to the specific circumstances of the withdrawal.
4.3 typInstitute reserves the right to cancel or reschedule courses; in such cases, fees will be refunded or applied to an alternative course.

5. Attendance & Participation
5.1 Students are expected to maintain a minimum attendance requirement (e.g., 80% of live sessions).
5.2 Participation in experiential, practical, and in-room activities is mandatory for successful completion.
5.3 Students must complete all assignments, reflective work, and supervised practice sessions as part of the course requirements.

6. Student Conduct
6.1 Students must adhere to professional, ethical, and respectful conduct at all times.
6.2 Disruptive or unsafe behaviour may result in suspension or termination of enrolment without refund.
6.3 Students must respect confidentiality in all peer and client interactions.

7. Use of Materials & Intellectual Property
7.1 Course materials are the intellectual property of typInstitute and are for personal, educational use only.
7.2 Students may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit course content without written permission.

8. Health, Safety, and Wellbeing
8.1 Students undertake courses at their own risk, particularly during experiential exercises, somatic practices, or meditation sessions.
8.2 Students should disclose any relevant health conditions that may affect participation.
8.3 typInstitute does not provide medical advice; students must seek professional medical guidance where necessary.

9. Supervision & Personal Therapy
9.1 Certain courses require supervised client practice and/or personal therapy sessions.
9.2 These sessions may incur additional costs and must be arranged according to course guidelines.

10. Equality & Inclusion

11. Limitation of Liability
11.1 typInstitute will not be liable for any loss, injury, or damage incurred by students while participating in courses, except where caused by gross negligence.
11.2 Students are responsible for personal belongings and travel arrangements.

12.2 Personal data will be used for course administration, certification, and communication purposes only.
