Who are tp-Institute?

Jamie Clarke, RYT 500, BA, MSc

Jamie Clarke has traversed through his own transpersonal psychotherapeutic journey since 2007, working with some of the most experienced of therapists from CCPE, Maida Vale, London, as well as mentors in yoga and tantra.

He holds an MSc in Consciousness, Spirituality & Transpersonal Psychology from the University of London and is registered with the International Association of Coaches, Therapists and Mentors (IACTM), Zurich, in Transpersonal Psychology. His primary influences are psychoanalytic, Jungian, and transpersonal. Archetypal approaches include the Tantric Chakras and their elements.

Jamie takes an integrative-transpersonal approach with clients, supported by psychotherapeutic supervision as part of his ongoing quest for self-truth and transformation.

His teaching approach combines yin and yang, East and West, yoga and psychology. His appreciation of Eastern philosophies — including Tantra, Buddhism, Daoism, and the cultural practices of Shamanism — integrates with the observations and thinking of Western depth psychology. He has also been significantly influenced by Buddhist Vipassana, the contemporary Hoffman Process, and transpersonal psychotherapy.

Lois Pimentel

Lois Pimentel began her journey with a spiritual medium, studying chakras and qualifying as a healer with the NFSH. She went on to study psychotherapy at CCPE, graduating in 1992, and later trained in NLP and Ericksonian Hypnotherapy. She continued her studies in Past Life Regression with Jungian analyst Roger Woolley and explored Black Hat Tantric Feng Shui in the USA. Lois also spent three months in Hawaii deepening her understanding of shamanism.

She is qualified in EMDR, EFT, and Emotrance, and studied Family Constellation work with Mark Wolynn. In 2001, she met her late husband, Allan Pimentel, Assistant Director at CCPE, who was a lecturer, teacher, and supervisor of psychology. Together, they combined their interests in spirituality and psychology, running courses for seven years that integrated Eastern philosophy with Western psychology.

From 2016, Lois and Allan began teaching alongside the yoga community until Allan’s passing in 2020. Since then, Lois has continued teaching with Jamie Clarke on Yin Yoga trainings. As a Reiki Master in Holy Fire Reiki, Lois also maintains a private practice in Wimbledon.

Safana Khan

Upon graduating from University College London in 2003, Safana was initially drawn to a career in management consultancy, interested in how people think, make decisions, and are influenced by their environment. This early curiosity about human potential, systems, and the capacity for change naturally evolved into a deeper exploration of the mind–body connection. Inspired by ideas of neuroplasticity and transformation, Safana followed a more authentic calling toward the healing and wellness fields — studying yoga, holistic health, and eventually psychotherapy. These pathways allowed her to integrate psychology, embodiment, and spirituality within her work.

Safana is a qualified integrative psychotherapist and clinical supervisor, registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). Her practice is informed by humanistic, existential, and transpersonal perspectives, and grounded in somatic awareness and compassion-based practice — honouring both the psychological and spiritual dimensions of transformation. Qualified in dynamic vinyasa and yin yoga, she brings an embodied sensitivity to her work that bridges inner experience with creative expression and relational depth.

As a supervisor, Safana holds spaces that are reflective, safe, and co-creative — inviting authenticity, curiosity, and deeper attunement. She is trained to Level 6 in Therapeutic Counselling Supervision (CPCAB), integrating a reflective and ethically grounded approach that honours diversity, presence, and the deeper relational field between coach or therapist and client. Her style is relational and collaborative, encouraging supervisees to strengthen both their clinical understanding and their inner awareness.

She maintains a private practice in Kingston and Richmond, offering psychotherapy and supervision to individuals and practitioners seeking integrative and embodied approaches to growth and healing.
